Violet Chong joined as Senior Portfolio Manager and Responsible Officer.

John Lee, Director, resigned as at the end of Jan. 2006. His duties are replaced by Ms. Violet Chong, Senior Portfolio Manager, who rejoined our firm on Feb. 1st.

The company will move to a new location in the Central district of Hong Kong in early January. The new address is: 802 Takshing House, 20 Des Voeux Road, Central, Hong Kong.

John Lee, formerly head of research at KE Absolute, a boutique brokerage that caters to hedge funds, joined as Director. John brought with him considerable experience in portfolio and risk management in emerging markets. John received his M.B.A. from Wharton School of Business and B.A. from Yale University.

On June 7, PCML hosted a briefing session for participants of a China tour, sponsored by the Institute for Private Investors (based in New York). The group of 20 consisted mostly of private investors interested to explore investment opportunities in China. Mr. Kwei made a presentation on China's economy and markets. This was followed by a talk by Mr. Peter Stein, Managing Editor of the Asian Wall Street Journal. In addition, Mr. Cary Ma, Managing Director of Moulin International, provided an insight view on how he had transformed his company from an OEM maker to an international distributor with brand ownership.

June 2004
On June 1, Ms. Violet Chong joined as Senior Portfolio Manager. Previously, Ms. Chong was the Senior Portfolio Manager with Skandia Asset Management (Asia) Ltd, responsible for HK/China and Taiwan portfolios. She has a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Sydney and has had more than 14 years of experience in investing in Asian equities.

On October 20, Mr. Dennis Lam joined the firm as a Research Analyst.

On October 9, Mr. Kwei gave a talk titled "Emerging Markets: An Asian View" at the Institute for Private Investors' annual forum in NYC. The session was well attended, reflecting increasing investors' interest in Asian investments.

Ms. Ching Ju Yeh resigned from the firm but will continue to serve as Director and adviser.

Taking advantage of a newly completed building in Hong Kong's Central District, PCML moved its premises to our new location on Ice House Street.

The company's key product, the Asian Select Equity Investment Partnership LP, was ranked by a leading alternate investment services firm as a top Asian fund over a 12-month period ended 3Q'02.

Mr. Kwei was appointed Director by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong.

Ms. Ching Ju Yeh, Director, was appointed advisor by a Hong Kong based investment bank to assist in its investment management initiatives.

The company was appointed as a sub-advisor to a new global emerging market fund organized by a New York-based fund management group.

Mr. Kwei was appointed a trustee of New Asia College, which is part of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

This month , Ching Ju Yeh was invited to speak at a CSRC conference for "H" share companies in Shenzhen. She spoke on the topic of how investors assess "H" share and the talk was very well received.

A new fund, named the Asian Select Technology Growth Fund, will be launched in September. Initial capital of over US$10 million has been committed for the launch.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ching Ju Yeh as Director. Ms. Yeh has compiled an enviable track record over more than 10 years of investing experience in Asia. Details of her background are in the Profile section.

A successful investors' conference was held in Hong Kong in May. Attendees heard presentations by executives from PCCW, Automated Systems, Sa Sa Int'l, and a review of Asian economies by Dr. Bill Overholt. Additionally, attendees were able to meet high-level executives around the region over two private dinners.

PCML will be hosting its annual Investor Conference on May 15-18 in Hong Kong. The conference is expected to be well attended, and it will feature a number of presentations by regional corporate executives. As in previous years, the conference provides an excellent opportunity for the company's clients to have a first-hand exposure to the region's current developments.

Mr. Stuart Leckie will be as resigning as a director of PCML, effective December 31st.

PCML is conducting an experiment of outsourcing its financial modeling work to a research firm in India. This new way of accomplishing financial analysis, made possible by the Internet, would help us cut costs to customers without sacrificing quality and timeliness.

November 1999
PCML has moved its office to Hutchison House in the midst of the Central district of Hong Kong. On the relocation, Managing Director Randolph Kwei commented that Hong Kong has been an excellent place from which to serve its international clients. The larger office will accommodate future expansion as the company looks ahead to new opportunities in the new millenium.
